Born in Santiago, Chile, Tamara Miller studied composition at the Universidad de Chile. Now based in Germany, she completed a Master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden, followed by a second Master’s in electronic composition at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne.

Her work spans instrumental and orchestral music to installation art and electronic music, with a focus on live performance and intersections with other artistic disciplines.

Her orchestral composition Recuerdo de Ahora received the ‘Premio Ossca’ from the Orchestra Sinfonica di Salerno Claudio Abbado and the ‘Composers in Region – Fantasie Musik’ award from the Elbland Philharmonie Sachsen.

Miller’s works have been presented at numerous festivals, most notably the Münchner Biennale für Neues Musiktheater (’24), Festival Frau* Musica Nova (’23), MaerzMusik (’22), and Musica Festival Strasbourg (’20).
